  Early Childhood
​

Early Childhood and Expanded Learning Data Technician - Level I
The Data Technician-Level I will assist with the day-to-day duties of the data needs for Early Childhood and Expanded Learning. The Data Technician will assist with quality data management, reporting, and analysis of programs such as Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), Head Start, SKIP, 21st Century Community Learning Centers and others as needed. The Technician will work in collaboration with the Early Childhood and Expanded Learning Data Manager, Technology and Media Services, and Synergy Student Information Systems, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be utilized on a daily basis.

Early Childhood Specialist
The Early Childhood Specialist (ECS) –are responsible for assessing, planning, and coaching based on developmentally appropriate practices, as well as, research-based curriculums in early childhood program. ECS’s support teachers and /or home visitors in meeting the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of students 0-4 years old in the GSRP/Head Start Preschool/Early Head Start/Home Based Program in GISD run programs, local school districts, public school academies, and/or community programs. The ECS is responsible for providing ongoing support for improvement in teaching and student performance including developmental screenings and student assessment. ECS will work as a collaborative team guided by the Education Manager.

Head Start/Early Head Start Home Visitor
The Home-Based Teacher is responsible for the planning, and implementing developmentally appropriate home visitation services, and meeting the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of young children and/or pregnant mothers in the Head Start Early Head Start Program. Program participants may include pregnant mothers, infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers. Program services, consisting of weekly, 90-minute home visits will be provided in the home of the enrolled family. Comprehensive services will be offered in partnership with Head Start/Early Head Start staff specializing in Health, Family Engagement, Disabilities, and Behavioral Health. Center based group socialization sessions will be conducted for two hours twice per month.

Social-Emotional Specialist
The Social-Emotional Specialist works with children in Head Start, GSRP, and/or Early Head Start throughout Genesee County who may present with challenging behaviors, social-emotional, or mental health concerns. The Social-Emotional Specialist supports the students as well as staff and families in our programs across schools, daycares, private and public agencies that house our programs and are responsible for students care ages 0 to 5.

​Family Engagement Advocate - Head Start
The Genesee Intermediate School District is seeking a Family Engagement Advocate who is passionate about bringing a focus on positive child and family outcomes to close the achievement gap and build a better future for children, families, and communities served by the Head Start program. The Family Engagement Advocate is responsible for recruiting and serving families and children in the Head Start program. The Family Engagement Advocate assists in planning and implementing family engagement activities and supporting families in meeting basic needs as well as setting goals for personal and family growth. The Family Engagement Advocate maintains an open, friendly, professional relationship with all staff and families and participates in continuous quality improvement activities that strengthen the program and families in the program. Early Childhood Enrollment Facilitator
The Early Childhood Enrollment Facilitator oversees county-wide recruitment, eligibility, intake and enrollment of children and assure implementation of procedures to maintain integrity of state and federal enrollment. The Enrollment Facilitator communicates and collaborates with local school districts, sub recipients, Early On, Great Start Readiness Program, Head Start and community organizations routinely regarding eligibility and placements. The Enrollment Facilitator assures implementation in accordance to state and federal program requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Coordinate Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) for timely replacement of children in collaboration with above mentioned stakeholders. The Enrollment Facilitator coordinates training and guidance to staff on a variety of pertinent enrollment topics.

SKIP Home Visitor
​
The SKIP (Successful Kids = Involved Parents) Program Home Visitor is responsible for providing parent coaching and instruction in the home, demonstrating appropriate education activities, and delivering research-based printed materials to parents regarding child development and related issues. Conducts and assists with child development screenings including but not limited to vision, hearing, the understanding and use of language, motor development, hand-eye coordination, and health and physical development for children from prenatal to kindergarten. Partners with families to ensure quality service delivery and a successful home visiting system for Genesee County. Delivers Parents As Teachers™ curriculum with fidelity to model. Partners with the Great Start Collaborative and Parent Coalition to offering parenting enrichment and leadership opportunities.

Classroom Support- Head Start/ Early Head Start
​The Classroom Support will assist the Lead and Associate teachers in providing a high-quality learning environment for children ages 6 weeks – 4 years old in the Head Start program. The Classroom Support maintains ratios of adults to children so that there is a minimum of two Head Start staff members in classrooms at all times. Classroom Support may help students transition to and from buses and assist during lunch time and naptime. Classroom Support will support the instruction and interaction of children in the classroom to promote comprehensive school readiness in all domains

The General Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing maintenance and repair functions on program owned/leased facilities, equipment and grounds. ​Grounds Crew
The Grounds Crew Member works with program Director and Assistant Director to ensure district lawns, landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks and related exterior areas are maintained in accordance with district standards. The Grounds Crew Member will also be responsible for assisting with snow removal and various methods of salt application to district building entrances, parking lots, sidewalks, and ramps.

Behavioral Health Support Provider
The Behavioral Health Support Provider (BHSP) will provide tier two and three interventions within the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) under the direction of a licensed master’s level clinician at Genesee Intermediate School District. These initiatives typically involve working with local public-school districts in developing communication, social, functional, and pre-academic skills as well as increasing appropriate behavior.

Career Planning/EDP Consultant
​The Career Planning/EDP Consultant is responsible for supporting the Genesee County Career Planning Initiative (CPI) within Genesee County school districts as assigned by the Executive Director of Career Technical Education. Responsible for engaging, assisting, and training local districts to ensure meeting of expectations. Monitor the progress of local districts’ career planning initiative plans and students’ access to completing a quality Educational Developmental Plan (EDP). Works collaboratively between districts while supporting instructional programming and activities for high school students preparing for career pathways.

Base Camp Facilitator
The Base Camp Facilitator will provide leadership and a day to day supervision and management of high ropes and/or climbing wall elements which include both indoor and outdoor environments. User groups to include a full range of clientele from school aged children to corporate level individuals and groups.
