You're employee ID# is your six-digit login number that you received from GECS. If you are unsure of what this number is, please contact GECS HR at (810)396-1100.
What is my Pin #?
Your pin # is automatically set to the last 4-digits of your social security number. You will have the option to change that once you login to your employee web.
How can I update my personal information (taxes, name, banking information, etc.)?
To update any personal information, you will need to complete the corresponding form. You can find all of the forms on our website under "Staff Resources".
where can i find my check stubs?
You will have the option to print your check stubs once you are logged in to employee web.

Once you login to employee web, you will have access to print any/all of your W2s.
When can i pick up my payroll check?
If you do not have direct deposit, you can pickup your payroll check at 6235 Corunna Rd Flint, MI 48532 from 8am-3pm on pay Friday's.
I lost my id badge, how do i get a replacement?
GECS will reproduce your ID badge for a $5.00 cost. This must be paid in the office. You can get your replacement badge at our HR office 6235 Corunna Rd Flint, MI 48532.
Can I file for unemployment for the summer?
While we cannot make that determination for you individually, employees that are given a letter of reasonable assurance have not been able to collect unemployment during the summer break.
What do i do if i get injured at work?
Notify your supervisor and call GECS (810)396-1100 immediately.
I need to take a medical leave, what should i do?
First, notify GECS and your supervisor. Next, have your physician fill out the FMLA paperwork located on our website (under staff resources --> forms) and submit the documentation to GECS HR.
What is the difference between a medical leave and fmla?
FMLA is a medical leave for employees that have worked for GECS for 1 year and 1,250 hours. It provides up to twelve (12) weeks of unpaid leave for serious medical issues. Our medical leave policy allows employees (that are not covered under FMLA) to receive up to eight (8) weeks of unpaid leave when medically necessary.
Who is eligible for benefits?
Employees who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits.
How do I make changes to my benefits ie; add/remove my spouse/children?
Employees working at least 30 hours per week are offered benefits at the initial orientation and given 30 days to decide regarding accepting or waiving benefits. The decision made regarding benefits is binding. In the fall of each year an Open Enrollment is held giving benefit eligible employees the option to make changes in benefits. Once the Open Enrollment is over the decision regarding benefits cannot be changed. The only exception to this rule is the occurrence of an IRS defined ‘Qualifying Event’ such as; change in legal marital status, change in employment status, birth, death, loss of spouse/dependent coverage etc. If you have questions about the occurrence of a ‘qualifying event’ please contact the GECS office.
I have never received a Guardian Dental identification card; how does my dentist verify my benefits?
Guardian Dental does not mail an identification card. Eligibility and benefits can be verified by the employee or dentist by visiting the Guardian website at www.GuardianAnytime.com. The website also provides a list of participating dentists.
Is there a retirement savings plan?
Continuous enrollment is provided in a 403b retirement savings plan managed by Williams & Co Financial Services. No need to wait for an Open Enrollment, you can enroll in the 403b retirement savings plan anytime by contacting Justin Blevins at justin@williams-co.com or by calling 810-965-4104.
Can I purchase Life Insurance through GECS?
A comprehensive platform of Enhanced Benefits such as life insurance, Hospital Indemnity, disability income etc is available through LifeStyle Benefits company.
