Early Childhood Recruitment Facilitator
The Early Childhood Recruitment Facilitator coordinates countywide recruitment, eligibility, intake and enrollment of children from all early childhood programs within the Center for Countywide Programs. The Early Childhood Recruitment Facilitator actively communicates and collaborates with local school districts, sub recipients, Early On and community organizations routinely regarding recruitment, eligibility and placements. The Recruitment Facilitator assures implementation in accordance with state and federal program requirements, and applicable laws and regulations for all early childhood programs. The Recruitment Facilitator coordinates training and guidance to community and staff on a variety of pertinent enrollment topics and coordinates attendance at community events.
Great Start Readiness Program Parent Liaison
The Great Start Collaborative Parent Liaison is responsible for increasing parent participation in the early childhood planning and decision-making process for the purpose of building a strong early childhood system. Regular responsibilities include organizing and facilitating Great Start Collaborative parent meetings; speaking publicly about the work of the Great Start Parent Coalition; educating policy makers on the importance of investing in early childhood and the essential role that parents and families play in the lives of young children. The Parent Liaison will work directly with staff and members of the Genesee County Great Start Collaborative, as well as organizations and parents from diverse backgrounds across Genesee County.
The Licensing Assistant will serve as the catalyst for program and licensing compliance relative to all programs at Center for Countywide Programs, including Early Head Start, Head Start, Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), 21st Century, etc. The Licensing Assistant will ensure a system of ongoing monitoring and support of program operations, to ensure that proper steps are taken to meet licensing requirements and tracking compliance.
Social Emotional Specialist for Children Birth to Five
The Social Emotional Specialist for Students Birth to Age Five serves children whose emotional/social concerns have proven to disrupt their ability to obtain maximum benefit from early childhood programs within Genesee County. The Social Emotional Specialist for Children Birth to Age Five acts as a liaison between parents/guardians, school, daycares, preschools, and public and private agencies responsible for student care and services for children in Genesee County ages birth to age five.
Early Childhood Specialist-Great Start Readiness Program
The Early Childhood Specialist provides services to Great Start Readiness (GSRP) staff in local school districts, public school academies and community programs for at-risk 4-year olds, including developmental screening and child assessment, Program Quality Assessment (PQA), professional development and collaborative consultation with staff, agency personnel and administrators.
Lead Teacher-Great Start Readiness Program
The Lead Teacher is responsible for the planning, supervision and implementation of a developmentally appropriate early childhood program, and meeting the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of young children in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP).
Associate Teacher-Great Start Readiness Program
The Associate Teacher assists the Lead Teacher in the general daily classroom activities.
Early Childhood Classroom Support Staff
The Early Childhood Classroom Support Staff will assist the Lead and Associate teachers in providing a high quality learning environment for children ages 3-5 years old in the Head Start program. The Early Childhood Classroom Support Staff maintains ratios of adults to children so that there are a minimum of two staff members in classrooms at all times. The Early Childhood Classroom Support Staff may help students transition to and from buses and assist during lunch time and nap time. This position supports the instruction and interaction of children in the classroom to promote comprehensive school readiness in all domains.
